From time to time, i do enjoy being young and stupid.

today
Today, I woke up early to bring my car to the shop. I then promptly went back to bed for another 4 hours, rolled out of bed in time for lunch, then sat on my couch and read all day. this, my friends, is what I call wonderful.

my spanish professor is such a cool lady. she always goes off on tangents and tells us all kinds of stories but somehow they all manage to be relevant. and she talks about things like potential and actually using it, which i’m pretty sure a lot of people don’t really think about much nowadays. I have been though, so it was really cool for her to straight up tell us that we need to use it because there’s so much out there that can be done with it.
It can be really infuriating when you try to bend over backwards to meet people’s needs and they still refuse to budge when they’d hardly even have to lift a hand.
retreat
i’m looking forward to being in a quiet, beautiful place in the middle of nowhere this weekend. I think two and a half days of being out in the middle of woods without modern gadgets does an awful lot of good when it’s needed. I’ll actually be able to see a lot of stars at night…such a nice change.
I really wish I could just tell him this and then he’d listen and do it.
